Maybe someone can explain something to me. You become friends with someone, they get a girlfriend and suddenly, you don't exist? WTF???

Because people are assholes, that's why.
That's bullshit. Unfortunately it happens, often, but it's still bullshit. My ex (not Android, I still don't know what to call her) used to get super jealous of my friends. It so wasn't worth it.
Bottom line- It's bullshit.
